Sloan Part 3301036 Regal A-36-A Water Closet Diaphragm Assembly 4.5 gpf

Genuine Sloan Diaphragm (Drop-in) Kit. Fits old-style Royal water closet (toilet) flushometers made pre-1964. The included diaphragm is for 4.5 gpf flush valves.

The diaphragm kit sits directly below the inside cover in the top of a flush valve. It regulates the pressure within a flush valve and when the flushometer handle is pulled, it controls the volume of the flush.

Generally speaking, a flushometer diaphragm will last around 4 years in a busy environment (about 250 thousand flushes!), however, this can be affected by water quality, especially sediment and other contaminants which may clog the bypass orafice.

If your toilet or urinal flushometer no longer flushes when the handle is pulled, the relief valve (which is part of this kit) may be damaged or overworn. If the flush is too long, or does not shut off afterwords, the diaphragm may be damaged, clogged, or corroded. This drop-in kit is designed to quickly, and simply fix both of these issues. Just be sure to get the right one, based on the type of your flushometer and how many gpf (gallons per flush) it is designed for.
