PRO-FLO Replacement Regulator Spring Cartridge, Blue, 7701PFLFA (aka Tomlinson 1019436)
Replacement spring cartridge for regulators on push button fountains. Blue (Medium Strength Spring).
This spring cartrige insert is one of the most common parts to replace on Elkay, Halsey Taylor, and Oasis pushbutton drinking fountains, coolers, and bottle fillers. It goes inside the regulator to control the flow of water when the push button is pressed (or released). As they age, they may not completely seal the waterway when the button is released, resulting in an ongoing trickle of water.

When choosing a replacement regulator, the color (of the cap or the spring) will indicate the amount of force required to activate it. In order from easiest to press to hardest to press, the options are: red, green, blue, and finally, gray.
This shouldn't be confused with the rate of flow (which is ultimately expressed at the bubbler as stream height. ALL cartridges come with an adjustment slot in the top which can be screwed in or out to adjust the flow of water when the cartridge is active (being pressed).
NOTE: All of the 7701PFLF cartridges perform in the same manner and will fit any bubbler. The suffix that comes after the 7701PFLF (for example 7701PFLFR-E or 7701PFLFA and other variations) indicate different tensions and different materials used in the cartridge. So if you have a PRO-FLO 7701PFLF cartridge, or a similar Elkay cartridge, simply pick one of the bubble cartridges that we offer based on the amount of tension that you desire, and it will work for you, regardless of what suffix your current cartridge has on it.
The PRO-FLO and Gigaqua cartridges that we offer are premium bubbler cartridges made with stainless steel materials. They are more durable than the Elkay and other generic cartridges, which are made of plastic casings. If you find you need to replace your cartridges often, use the premium, branded cartridges for better durability.
