Architectural Specifications:
TUBING: Oval, 1-9/16" H x 1-3/64" W. 18‑gauge, 300 stainless steel with a brushed #3 satin finish or optional electrocoat finishes. All exposed welds ground and polished to blend. Each grab bar features welded studs and rectangular standoffs.
STANDOFF: The grab bar standoffs are made from a long‑lasting, durable, zinc alloy in a brushed #3 satin finish. Standoff provides 1-1/2" standard safety clearance between wall and bar. Zamak 3 (ASTM AG40A).
STRENGTH: When properly mounted, all Bradley heavy‑duty grab bar systems meet or exceed the requirements of ANSI Standard A117.1, the ADA and ABA Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities (ADAAG), and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standard (UFAS). 8B1 series grab bars are rated to support up to 250 pounds. Wall must be reinforced in the area of the grab bar in order to support the load it is intended to support.
Guide Specification: Oval grab bar shall be fabricated of 18‑gauge, 300 series stainless steel in a brushed #3 satin finish with welded end caps. Optional hooks shall be fabricated of 14‑gauge, 300 series stainless steel in a brushed #3 satin finish.
